DVT gave me exposure I could not have anticipated, from working with an airline and a financial institution to engaging with AI at a time when most organisations were still hesitant. The opportunities were always there; DVT simply created an environment where, if you were willing to step up and grab them, you could grow in directions you had not planned for. What made it even more meaningful was the culture of mentorship, both being guided by experienced people and eventually having the opportunity to do the same for others. That kind of culture stays with me and not only grounded me but built me up to do better in all decision-making processes throughout my career.

I’ve been with DVT for almost five years as a senior technical resource, and it’s been a genuinely rewarding journey. The work consistently challenges me while providing strong support for growth. I’ve had the opportunity to certify in Databricks and Microsoft Fabric, and to focus on expanding my skills in AI. DVT encourages continuous learning and innovation, which keeps the work engaging and meaningful. It’s a great environment for anyone looking to grow technically while working on impactful projects.

Working at DVT has been an incredibly rewarding experience. As a Junior .NET Developer, I was given the opportunity to grow both technically and professionally in a supportive and collaborative environment. The company culture truly stands out it’s not just something that’s spoken about, but something that is genuinely lived every day. The past 5 years at DVT have been the most formative chapter of my career. I joined eager to grow and have since progressed into a senior position sharped by challenging projects, strong support, excellent mentors and a culture that invest in its people. Across a diverse portfolio of clients, I have sharpened my craft, mentoring now and still learning, because that never stops. I’m proud to represent a company that consistently backs the growth of it’s people.

Just over a year in at DVT and my time has been anything but dull; in the best way possible. I’ve sharpened my skills across the Java stack, dabbled in reactive programming, wrestled with Kubernetes (and occasionally won). I’ve also picked up smarter ways to use AI without letting it do all the thinking. The people make it, though—great teams, good laughs, and just enough chaos to keep things interesting while still delivering solid work.

DVT has been a solid foundation for my growth. I collaborate with smart people to build practical, well-thought-out solutions. There's a clear focus on people and continuous growth, both in career and personal aspirations. Challenges that seem complex at first quickly become manageable when approached with the collective insight and experience within DVT.

I'm proud to have called myself a DVTer for the last 12 years. I found growth, I found great leadership & support, I found friendship and more importantly, I found a home. From the back-office team to the leadership team to my fellow BAs (who are all truly phenomenal human beings) - thank you for being a part of my journey.

My time at DVT has been shaped by diverse industry exposure, multicultural teams, and a strong focus on continuous learning. As a Scrum Master with an agile mindset, I've enabled teams to deliver meaningful outcomes while growing my own capabilities and support others in achieving their goals.

In 2019, I joined DVT as a Junior Data Analyst, curious, eager, and ready to grow. What followed was seven years of relentless growth, supported every step of the way by incredible mentors, leaders, and colleagues who genuinely invested in my success. From AML data work at Standard Bank, to pioneering RPA at Hollard Insurance, to leading complex automation projects across Africa, every chapter was shaped by DVT's culture of learning and belief in its people. Today, as Senior Automation Process Lead, I don't just come to work, I come to grow. DVT isn't just where I work. It's where I became who I am professionally.

Working at DVT since February 2022 has been a genuinely rewarding experience. As a Senior Scrum Master. I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with highly skilled, supportive teams who are committed to continuous improvement and delivering real value, while also fostering and building relationships within the banking sector and the payments industry (PASA). What stands out most is the culture, there’s a strong emphasis on trust, learning, and empowerment, which allows you to grow both professionally and personally. DVT creates an environment where agile principles are truly embraced, not just practiced, and where your voice is heard and respected. It’s a place where you’re challenged, supported, and inspired to do your best work.

I’ve really valued my journey at DVT so far. It hasn’t always been easy, but that’s exactly what has made the experience so meaningful. The challenges I’ve faced have pushed me to grow, not just technically, but also personally. I’ve become more resilient, more confident in my abilities, and more intentional in how I approach my work. My current placement continues to stretch me in new ways, and while that can be demanding, it’s also incredibly rewarding. I’m constantly learning, adapting, and improving. Looking at the bigger picture, the environment has been a positive one. It has encouraged growth, supported my development, and ultimately has brought out the best in me.

Working at DVT has been a defining start to my career. I joined the graduate program with very little experience in web development and, during my time here, progressed to building and shipping a production-ready application from scratch in the span of three years. The people and culture here really stand out. Even in different teams and different projects there is a sense of camaraderie and sharing of knowledge, all while keeping things light and enjoyable. I’m grateful for the opportunities I was given and for the people I have had the chance to work with.

The best part about working here is definitely the people. It’s a very collaborative space where you’re constantly bouncing ideas off others and learning from different departments. Getting to work with such a variety of people makes the day-to-day much more engaging and highlights the value of having so many different perspectives in one place.
