User Experience (UX) Fundamentals Training

Register for our 1-day UX Fundamentals course and learn the true value of adopting a user-centred design approach within your team or organisation.

This 1-day course will introduce the participant to a broad range of UX-related topics, allowing individuals and teams a shared understanding of the techniques and processes used to drive product decisions from user insights.
Learn the fundamentals of UX in this interactive course which includes practical exercises showing the real-world application of the concepts we will explore.

Course Focus:

There are certain products (physical and digital) that we naturally enjoy using, and that make our daily tasks easier to achieve. These products are designed well and tend to consider the end user. These answers are found within a group of disciplines collectively referred to as User Experience (UX).

The range of topics include:

  • The principles of human-centred design

Chris is the head of UX/UI services at DVT, and has been with the company since 2013. His background in software development and interaction design led him to develop a passion for User Experience. He presented a talk at the UX South Africa conference in 2018 entitled "Have you high fived your developer lately", emphasising collaboration between UX/UI designers and the developers implementing these designs.

“It’s not enough that we build products that function, that are understandable and usable, we also need to build products that bring joy and excitement, pleasure and fun, and yes, beauty to people’s lives.
